A little about myself:

• worked at a few startups in different spaces (algo-trading, self-driving tech, cyber-security).
• now I’m a senior software engineer at Cloudera, where I work on Anywhere Cloud, a platform that empowers users to run data & AI workloads on any environment (cloud or on-prem).
• big fan of Paul Graham and his essays.

Projects:

• Greenlight, a GitHub Action that acts as your AI product tester.
• Loadout, an AI-powered tool for system design mock interviews.

My core principles:

• Have a purpose bigger than yourself
  • A life that revolves around “me” has a low ceiling for fulfillment.
• Have high agency
  • The world can mold itself in a surprisingly positive way for you if you have high agency.
  • Just do things, and opportunities will present themselves.
  • As Jeff Bezos said, most decisions are two-way doors. If it goes wrong, you can just turn back.
• Have complete control over your emotions
  • Bad events are only bad if you perceive them as bad.
  • Anger is the most useless emotion unless it's quickly turned into positive action.
• Build and maintain strong relationships
  • Relationships are the currency of life.
  • The relationship has to be genuine and not transactional.

One thought on AI - I think Jevon's Paradox will hold true when it comes to jobs and the general population.

• As the cost of AI decreases, the demand for AI-based work goes up. This increases the number of people needed to do the work.
• AI will be a force for good overall. It will not simply replace humans, but rather augment us and make us much more powerful.
